Carrara. You know I love it.

It is one of the most reasonably priced marbles out there, thanks to a little town name Carrara in Italy that has made chopping this rock from the earth its livelihood. Carrara Quarry

I recently read a post on the GardenWeb asking about Carrara from China. Seems like the slabs are exported for polishing to China at a cheaper cost. That, in addition to the abundance of Carrara, may explain it’s lower price. Anyone have any Carrara thoughts?
