Alachua Village of Vrindavan ’09

Every Janmastami, Los Kulis of Alachua erect a virtual Village of Vrindavan on the temple property, complete with appropriately named home Deities presiding over the correspondingly named Vraja mandir. I, being lower than a kuli in devotion and enthusiasm (but definitely not age 😉 did not participate in the construction of the village. But, by the mercy of my little ones, will go on pilgrimage tonite (sans camera…have not charged battery).

Here is the first pic out of Vrindavan…snagged from Samba Zaldivar’s FB page. He and his wife, who is about 4’10” tall and now extremely expert in the handling of power tools, have been up all night building temples and stealing my cows. Even holsteins get the mercy today!
