The Hill

The Alachua devotees put together an amazing looking replication of Govardhana Hill.  The temple on top of the hill was crafted from burfi.  Even after I took these pictures more was being added.  Powdered sugar was being sprinkled along the parikrama path to emulate the dust of Braja.

When it came time to circumambulate the Hill, Visvambhara chanted like a madman.  The men were kind of crazy.  For an outdoor kirtan it was superloud and once you started circling the Hill it felt like you were caught in some sort of spiritualized merry go round.  There was no getting off!
Visvambhara continued chanting inside the temple room where, in the presence of Sri Sri Radha Syamasundara, was twice as mad!

I'm going to have to stop reading your blog because everytime I read something like this, I start trying to figure out how we can move to Alachua, and we just can't and then I feel even worse. . . .
