Due to corn demands for animal feed and ethanol mandates, compounded with the devastating midwestern floods, someone high up decided we need more corn. Why diversify in the face of disaster? Let’s just put all our corn in one basket, or in this case, federally reserved natural habitat, and further our dependence on domestic corn like we’ve done with foreign oil.
